General Terms & Conditions of Sale
1. General Conditions
These conditions apply to all reservations and all accommodation agreements concluded between "the Client" and La Lumière de Paris. Once a reservation is accepted, a contract exists. The fact that a Client makes a reservation indicates acceptance of these General Conditions. The services concern accommodation (studios, PRM studios, family apartments, superior apartments, duplex apartments) and ancillary services.
2. Amendments to the General Conditions
These General Conditions may be amended at any time and without prior notice. We recommend consulting the latest amendments on our website before making a reservation.
3. General Conditions and Use of Our Website
The use of our website is subject to these General Conditions. Access to booking is limited to the exclusive use of private individuals or companies. Any group request for more than 5 rooms must be submitted in writing and be subject to a specific quote and contract.
4. Use of the Site
Use of the site is limited to persons over 18 years of age, who are of legal age to enter into a contract.
5. Online Reservations and Third-Party Websites
Different general conditions and cancellation policies may apply to reservations made through booking agents or third-party sites. The conditions of La Lumière de Paris prevail in the event of conflict, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
6. Payment Terms and Credit Card Payment Process
Payment: The reservation is confirmed after payment via a secure link (SumUp, Revolut) or by credit card.
Preferential Rate (Non-Refundable): The full payment is mandatory and debited at the time of booking.
Pre-authorization: The establishment reserves the right to make a pre-authorization on the Client's credit card to guarantee potential extras or damages (see point 11).
7. Cancellations and No-Shows
In accordance with Article L. 221-28 of the French Consumer Code, the client does not benefit from the right of withdrawal.
Preferential Rate (Non-Refundable): This rate is strictly non-cancellable, non-modifiable, and non-refundable.
No-Show: In case of no-show, 100% of the cost of the stay is charged.
Early Departure: Any stay started is due in its entirety.
8. Reservations Made Through Other Channels
The booking conditions also apply to reservations made by phone, email, or any other direct communication channel. Furthermore, reservations may be made through other sources, notably online travel agencies, tour operators, or other websites that apply different cancellation policies. Please consult your booking confirmation for more details.
9. Changes to Accommodation by La Lumière de Paris
The establishment reserves the right to relocate any reservation to accommodation of a similar size and standard in case of force majeure or major technical problems.
10. Modifications to the Reservation at the Client's Request
Any request for modification for a Preferential Rate will be considered a cancellation (resulting in the loss of the amount paid) followed by a new reservation. Modifications on other rates are accepted subject to availability.
11. Identification, Deposits for Damages, Extras, and Cleaning
Identification: Photo ID is required upon arrival.
Deposit: A security deposit (or credit card pre-authorization) may be requested to cover any potential damages.
Cleaning: Final cleaning is included. Additional cleaning with linen and towels is available for 50 €.
Parking: Supplement of 25 € / day for a covered private parking space (upon reservation via WhatsApp).
12. Requirements Related to Arrival and Departure Formalities
Arrival (Check-in): Apartments are available from 16:00 (24/7 self check-in).
Early Check-in: Subject to availability, for a supplement of 30 €.
Departure (Check-out): The premises must be vacated by 11:00 at the latest.
Late Check-out: Subject to availability, for a supplement of 30 €.
Unauthorized Overstay: Any unauthorized departure after 15:00 will result in the invoicing of an additional night.
13. Facilities/Services Included in the Price
Our rooms are fully furnished and equipped with appliances such as a Nespresso coffee machine, a television, a kettle, etc. The price includes access to the apartment, household linen, and Wifi access. No item should be removed from the room. The use of Wifi is subject to French legislation, security, and IP address recognition. The user is responsible for actions committed from their access, even if carried out by a third party. The advertised price includes the standard hotel service and VAT according to the current rate. The tourist tax is not included, is applicable to all persons aged 18 and over, and will be collected by the hotel and indicated on the client's invoice.
14. Liability for Damage or Loss of the Client's Property
The establishment shall not be held liable for theft, loss, or damage caused to the personal property of the Client and their visitors, except in the case of proven fault on the part of La Lumière de Paris. The Client must ensure that their accommodation is properly locked.
15. Liability for Damage or Loss of Property Belonging to La Lumière de Paris
The Client is responsible for any damage, breakage, or loss occurring in the apartments or common areas caused by themselves, their occupants, or their visitors. The cost of repairs or replacement will be invoiced to the Client.
16. Use of La Lumière de Paris and Peaceful Enjoyment of the Premises for All Visitors
The Client must ensure good order and respect for other occupants. The client must not undertake anything in the accommodation that may violate the Law. La Lumière de Paris authorizes the use of its residential units only for personal, appropriate, and lawful use. La Lumière de Paris expressly prohibits access to its residential units to persons other than those listed on the official booking document. La Lumière de Paris reserves the right to refuse entry to the hotel and accommodation to a Client if, upon arrival, Management reasonably believes that the person is under the influence of alcohol or drugs, that this person is not dressed correctly, or is behaving in a threatening, abusive, or otherwise unacceptable manner. La Lumière de Paris applies a strict Anti-Party policy. Parties are strictly prohibited. The establishment reserves the right to expel, without refund, any Client whose behavior is reprehensible or causes noise pollution. If, during a stay, La Lumière de Paris receives serious complaints about the Client or the Client behaves in a manner detrimental to the enjoyment of other guests or their invitees, or the Client is in violation of the General Conditions, then La Lumière de Paris reserves the right to terminate the Client's stay without notice and without any obligation to refund any money.
17. Non-Smoking and No-Candles Policy
The entire establishment is strictly non-smoking (including electronic cigarettes) for comfort and safety reasons. The use of candles or any other open-flame device is also prohibited. Non-compliance with this rule will result in an automatic penalty of 150 € for cleaning and deodorization costs. Any act that goes against detection and safety systems is subject to prosecution.
18. Access to Apartments by Management
Management reserves the right to enter the Client's apartment, without prior notice and in their absence, in the following cases: in case of proven emergency (leak, fire), for security reasons, or to carry out maintenance and upkeep work necessary for the enjoyment of the apartment.
19. Complaints
Any complaint regarding the quality of services must be reported immediately and no later than 12 hours after arrival to allow the establishment to remedy it quickly.
20. Children Policy
Children under 3 years old stay free of charge in existing bedding or in a baby cot provided by the establishment (subject to availability).
21. Pets
Pets are accepted under the following conditions:
A supplement of 30 € per stay and per animal is applied.
Guide dogs are accepted free of charge.
Pets must not be left alone and must not disturb the peace of the premises.
22. Disputes
The General Conditions are governed by French law, without prejudice to any mandatory protective provisions that may be applicable in the consumers' country of residence. The Client is informed by La Lumière de Paris of the possibility of recourse, in the event of a dispute relating to these General Conditions, to a conventional mediation procedure or any other alternative dispute resolution method, under the conditions provided for in Title I of Book VI of the Consumer Code. In the event of a dispute that cannot be resolved amicably after a written complaint to the customer service of La Lumière de Paris, the Client may free of charge contact a Tourism and Travel Mediator.

23. Miscellaneous
In accordance with Article L.223-1 of the Consumer Code, the consumer who does not wish to be subject to commercial prospecting by telephone may register free of charge on the telephone canvassing opposition list: www.bloctel.gouv.fr.
